A lot of Tesla owners rely on a basic 120V outlet when they first bring the car home. It works, but it's slow - we're talking overnight charges that barely keep up with daily driving. A dedicated Wall Connector changes the whole picture. Faster charging, a cleaner setup, and no more hoping the outlet can handle the load.
Here's what we were working with on this one - a garage wall that needed a proper dedicated circuit run and a solid mounting point for the Tesla Wall Connector. We used EMT conduit for the run, which keeps everything protected and gives it that clean, intentional look instead of wires just hanging off the wall. The conduit is strapped down tight and runs straight - no sloppy bends, no shortcuts.
The Wall Connector itself is mounted flush and level, with the blue indicator light telling you it's live and ready to go. That's not just aesthetics - a properly secured unit means the connection stays reliable every time you plug in. Loose installs cause problems over time. We don't do loose installs.
Everything on this job was done to code from the dedicated circuit all the way through to the final connection. That matters for two reasons. First, safety. Second, if you ever go to sell the home or make a warranty claim, a code-compliant install is what protects you. Permits and proper work aren't optional - they're the baseline.
