Site Lighting and Camera Upgrades at PSRR1 in Baker

We were out at PSRR1 in Baker working on a lighting and camera upgrade across the site's existing pole setup. The goal was straightforward - more fixture heads per pole, better coverage across the site, and security cameras added right to the poles to improve monitoring. Simple scope, real impact.

Remote and industrial sites like this one don't have the luxury of nearby infrastructure, so getting the lighting right matters a lot. When visibility is poor after dark, safety goes down and oversight gets harder. Adding fixture heads to the existing poles was the most efficient way to push more light across the site without starting from scratch.

Each pole got upgraded with multi-head LED fixtures mounted at height, and cameras were integrated directly onto the poles at a lower mount point. That combo - bright overhead light and a camera positioned below it - gives you solid illumination and a clear line of sight for monitoring all from a single structure. Clean, functional, no extra clutter on the ground.

We brought in a boom lift to handle the height work safely. Working out in the desert heat on poles like these takes the right equipment and the right crew. We knocked it out without cutting corners on the install quality.

Good site lighting does more than just brighten a space. It keeps workers safer during low-light hours, deters unauthorized access, and gives whoever is managing the site a clearer picture of what's happening on the ground.
