Phase 2 is underway on one of our most forward-thinking jobs yet - an off-grid EV charging station powered entirely by solar and battery storage. No utility grid. No traditional power hookup. Just clean, self-sustaining energy infrastructure built from scratch.
Here's what that actually looks like on the ground. We're talking trenching, layout work, and running underground conduit across a large open site in the desert. The orange spray lines mark exactly where everything goes before a single shovel hits the dirt. That kind of upfront planning is what keeps a job like this on track.
The underground work is the backbone of the whole system. Multiple conduit runs get laid in coordinated trenches so the power pathways from the solar array and battery bank can reach each charging position cleanly and safely. Getting this part right matters - it's not the kind of thing you want to go back and fix once it's buried and paved over.
This is new construction electrical work at a serious scale. It's the same discipline we bring to any build - whether it's a residential remodel or a large commercial site. Plan it right, run it clean, and make sure the infrastructure can carry the load for years to come. Solar-plus-storage systems like this one have high demands, and the wiring has to be sized and routed to handle it.
Off-grid charging setups like this are still pretty rare, but demand is growing fast. Businesses and property owners who want to offer EV charging without depending on the utility grid are starting to realize this is a real, buildable option. We're glad to be part of making that happen.
